We would like to congratulate Professor Ian Meredith for being awarded a Member (AM) in the Order of Australia in the General Division, in the Australia Day Honours list for 2012.
Ian received the honour for his services to medicine in the field of cardiology as a clinician and researcher and for his role in public health.
A founding member of Melbourne Heart Care, Ian heaped praise on his team:
“I’ve had a really blessed and charmed career. I’ve worked with many fabulous people and learnt from many great people and it’s afforded me the opportunity to excel.”
Ian’s recognition comes 15 years after establishing Melbourne Heart Care, where he hopes to continue providing State-of-the-Art, patient focused clinical care for many more.
