Ingredients
- 3 pears or apples, cut into 1cm slices
- 6 fresh figs, halved
- (or use fruit in season – plums, peaches etc)
- 1 cup (175g) brown sugar
- cinnamon yoghurt
- 1 cup (250ml) plain yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon caster sugar
- 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
Method
Press the cut sides of the fruit into the brown sugar. Heat a non-stick frying pan over high heat. Cook the fruit a few pieces at a time for one minute each side or until the sugar has melted and is golden. Wipe pan clean and continue with remaining fruit. To make the cinnamon yoghurt, place yoghurt, sugar and cinnamon into a bowl and mix to combine. To serve, pile the fruits onto serving plates and serve with the cinnamon yoghurt.
