Administration and Technologists

We have a very experienced administrative team of dedicated and caring staff.

Our Practice Management team is made up by Jo (who has been with Melbourne Heart Care since 2003), Holly (who joined in 2011) and Jacqui (who joined in 2016). Our friendly support team are happy to help our referring GP’s and patients with all their appointment needs for consultations, tests and procedures.

For patients, it is important to ensure that your results are available at the time of your consultation with the doctor- we work hard to make sure all relevant information is available before you arrive to see the doctor.

We always ensure we can help GP’s with patients they feel need urgent attention.

Cardiac Technologists

Catherine, Emma and Josh run our cardiac testing department and have been with Melbourne Heart Care for many years. They assist our cardiologists with stress echocardiography and stress testing, pacing and analysing BP and Holter Monitors.
They provide a professional and reassuring service to our patients who attend to have a test.

Echo Technologists

Our echo technologists are experts in their field, all accredited with ASAR (Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry) and experience working in major hospitals such as Monash Medical Centre, The Alfred, Box Hill and Cabrini Hospitals. All of our techs enjoy working as part of the MHC team, some having been here as long as 18 years. This all ensures your heart is being assessed by the best people for the job.

We have many patients who attend for regular echoes and ask for their favourite tech by name!

STEPS TO PREVENT SPREAD OF COVID-19

Thank you to all our patients who have attended our practice so far during the Covid-19 pandemic began. Your understanding and cooperation with new procedures we have in place to protect us all and ensure we comply with government guidelines is very much appreciated.

When attending our rooms you will notice changes such as reduced seating in our waiting room, distancing markings on the floor, protective screens, increased signage on our doors and walls and staff using protective clothing and equipment. Whilst this may seem overwhelming to some, the purpose is for your safety and that of our staff. Please be assured though that our team remain dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and cardiac care.

It is important not to neglect your cardiac health during this crisis and we remain committed to providing all of our usual services.

If you have symptoms of fever, chills/sweats, cough, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath, muscle soreness, loss of sense of smell and taste- we advise you contact your GP or local Coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND OUR PRACTICE if you have any of the symptoms above or have recently tested Covid-19 positive or awaiting Covid-19 test result or been in contact with someone who has. Also, please be aware of the latest Covid public exposure sites listed on the DHHS website and advice us if you have attended any of the listed sites.
