Dr Andrew Lin graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Science in 2008. He completed his physician training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, followed by advanced training in cardiology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He subsequently completed a fellowship in advanced echocardiographic and cardiac CT interpretation at MonashHeart.
Andrew is currently undertaking PhD research into the detection of vascular inflammation and its relationship with coronary plaque using cardiac CT, and has been awarded a prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council Postgraduate Scholarship. He is also training in cardiac MRI.
His clinical interests include general clinical cardiology, coronary, structural and valvular heart disease and heart failure.
Outside work, Andrew enjoys running, snowboarding and travel, and is a supporter of the Essendon Football Club. He is also fluent in Mandarin.
