Luciana is a Paediatric Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist with special interest in catheter ablation of arrhythmias, pacemaker and defibrillator management, and inherited/genetic heart conditions.
Luciana grew up in Brazil where she obtained her Medical Degree and completed General Paediatric training. She underwent Paediatric Cardiology training in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. She completed her fellowship in Paediatric and Adult Congenital Electrophysiology at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Prior to settling in Australia, Luciana worked in New Zealand as a Paediatric Electrophysiologist and Paediatric Cardiology Clinical Lead for the Cardiac Inherited Diseases Group (CIDG).
Luciana works at The Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Heart/Victorian Heart Hospital, in addition to consulting at Melbourne Heart Care.
Outside work Luciana enjoys spending time with her husband and children, travelling, and learning about art.
