Dr. John Lee believes that exceptional cardiac care starts with listening. He takes the time to understand each patient’s concerns, working alongside their GP to develop a personalised plan tailored to their individual needs and goals.
As a general cardiologist he sees patients with the full range of heart conditions and related presentations. This includes chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and coronary artery disease.
He has further expertise in cardiac imaging, including echocardiography and cardiac CT. These tests allow detailed, non-invasive assessment of the heart and often help provide clear answers while avoiding unnecessary procedures. This allows patients to get back to the things that matter most.
Alongside clinical practice, Dr. Lee stays at the forefront of cardiovascular care through his ongoing involvement in research and medical education, regularly teaching medical students and cardiology registrars.
Working with the experienced teams across Melbourne Heart Care’s practice sites, he ensures a smooth process from referral through to follow-up. Outside of work, he enjoys running on Melbourne’s many trails.
