Dr Jeffrey Alison

Dr Jeffrey Alison has special expertise in all facets of Cardiac Rhythm Management having more than 20 years’ clinical experience in this subspecialty (often referred to as “Electrophysiology and Pacing”).

He consults and advises on management of both ambulatory and hospitalised patients with heart rhythm disorders. When required, he performs interventional procedures such as electrophysiology studies, catheter ablation, device therapy with pacemakers and implantable defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure (“biventricular pacing”).

Jeff has been a staff specialist in Cardiology and Electrophysiology within Southern Health since 1992 and an Honorary Specialist in Electrophysiology at Royal Children’s Hospital since 1996. He is currently a member of the Senior Medical Staff at Southern Health and is Head of Cardiac Rhythm Management Services, MonashHeart. He is also accredited as a visiting cardiologist at Linacre Private Hospital, Cabrini Hospital (Malvern & Brighton), Epworth Hospital and St John of God Hospital, Ballarat.

When not at work, Jeff enjoys travel, relaxing with a book or magazine and a glass of red wine, photography, cooking and general handyman jobs around home. He has been a Demons supporter since birth and maintains dual membership of MFC & MCC …

As a heart rhythm specialist, David's interests include implantable devices including biventricular pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation.

Dr Mohammad (Peyman) Alasti

Dr Mohammad (Peyman) Alasti is a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist. He completed his general cardiology training at Rajaei Heart Centre in Iran in 2004 before undertaking a fellowship in interventional electrophysiology and cardiac device implantation at the same centre.

Thank you to all our patients who have attended our practice so far during the Covid-19 pandemic began. Your understanding and cooperation with new procedures we have in place to protect us all and ensure we comply with government guidelines is very much appreciated.

When attending our rooms you will notice changes such as reduced seating in our waiting room, distancing markings on the floor, protective screens, increased signage on our doors and walls and staff using protective clothing and equipment. Whilst this may seem overwhelming to some, the purpose is for your safety and that of our staff. Please be assured though that our team remain dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and cardiac care.

It is important not to neglect your cardiac health during this crisis and we remain committed to providing all of our usual services.
